I am going to share with you a true story, about one of the most famous supermodels in the world and this will surprise you. I don’t want you to read the story for its “shock value”, that’s not why I’m telling you this story, read it and once again think about your three WINsuits as you do.
The most unusual WINsuit ever
I remember when I discover one of the most unique WINsuits in someone, and it happened in the most unusual way. A number of years ago, I was at a company event and we were using a famous model for one of our promos. I was asked to be part of a photo shoot with my wife on one side and the model on the other, sitting on a couch. In front of me were three rows of photographers, the closest sitting on the floor, the next row kneeling, and the top row standing, all just a few feet away.
Now we had to pose for pictures. I don’t know about you, but I have one pose and I use that one pose for all my pictures and for the most part, that pose has served me well (at least I thought it did).
So as I sat on the couch with my one pose, holding it there for about 10 seconds, I started to feel awkward. I looked to the left and my wife was posing and going strong, moving from one pose to the next, I looked to my right and our famous model was going real strong. So I looked back at the photographers with the pose that I knew. 30 or so seconds later I was growing increasingly more frustrated and looking to my left and then to my right, both my wife and model were still posing away.
I went back to my pose that I know and has worked for me in the past; however it became increasingly more difficult. Imagine posing the only pose you know and it becomes draining to you. After about another minute, I looked to my left and then to my right and I noticed the model leading my wife from pose to pose. The model would use her hand in front of her face in some unique way and my wife would mimic that. And there I was with the same old pose sitting there in the middle, exhausted, and worn out and hoping that this would end soon.
After, I guess about 10 minutes, my wife finally started to run out of different poses and I could see finally see she was growing frustrated and tired, but the model was going stronger than ever. There in front of my eyes, I was witness to an extraordinary talent that I never knew even existed, a skill set unlike any other.
As my wife and I sat on the couch exhausted, giving up posing, we stared off to our right in astonishment as this famous model so effortlessly, naturally, instinctively moved stealthily, from one pose to the other and her energy grew. As we were sitting there in awe , we struck up a conversation with a photographer in front of us. He said “she’s the best I ever photographed, and I photographed them all”. As I sat there and thought, I know what this supermodel’s WINsuit is and I imagined how likely as a child she developed it. The supermodel actually went on, energizing the room for about an hour, at which point she joined me in presenting an award.
Sometime later, I was sitting with the model sharing my experience on the couch and how amazed I was by how skilled she was at posing. I shared the concept of WINsuits with her and I said I would like to guess how she developed hers. I said what likely happened is that probably as a tween or early teen you were told by someone, I bet your mother, that you weren’t attractive and you spent hours every day in front your mirror working on looking attractive.
At this point she said sadly “how did you know?” I said I didn’t know for sure, it was just a sense I got. At that point I asked her, “can you tell me the whole story?”. She did with extraordinary detail (how she spent literally hours every day in front of a mirror, trying to figure out a pose that made her look beautiful and perfecting that pose, getting her eyebrows just right, how wide she opened her eyes just right, lips, forehand, etc. the detail was stunning) and a few tears here and there but in a nutshell, it was what I guessed, more importantly, an incredibly powerful WINsuit that effortlessly energized her and her supermodel career, making posing energizing instead of energy draining.
That is an interesting story is in it, but that’s not why I told it, once again think about your WINsuits, have you identified three? If you did, I’m impressed because it is challenging, next session you are going to pick one and learn to use it.
